To serve the campus and the community as a center for art and a catalyst to support instruction, create a space for learning and aesthetic enjoyment, and promote visual and performing arts at Washtenaw Community College.

Strength and Grit: Celebrating the Working Class

Opening Reception July 11, 5:30-7:30pm in The Gallery, free and open to all
Celebrating the Working Class is an exhibition dedicated to honoring the resilience, determination, and contributions of the working class. It explores the everyday struggles and triumphs of individuals who form the backbone of society. The exhibition aims to highlight a sense of community, identity and pride that emerge from labor.
Rob Todd, Chief Fabricator for Flutter & Wow Museum Projects in Ann Arbor, Michigan, will be serving as juror and principle artist for this exhibition. Working in wood, metal, and plastics, Rob focuses his efforts as an artist to provide local businesses, individuals, friends, and family with well-crafted furniture, signs and more. He will be displaying two pieces in this show.
